If you enjoy watching jets and aircraft scream above you displaying agility and speed then you’ll enjoy the annual Oceana Air Show.

The air show was first held in 1953 and the event has been held almost each year since. The show is a thrilling event for those who love aircraft and aviation and is always a thrilling spectacle of flight demonstrations, parachute shows, pyrotechnics and more.

The show features a number of aerial performers including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, who have been performing since 1946. Past performers have included The Horsemen Flight Team, the only P-51 Mustang formation aerobatic team; Matt Chapman, an aerobatic pilot, Roger Buis and Otto the Helicopter, Bob Carlton, Bill Leff, Dale “Snort” Snodgrass and Team MS760 and others. Spectators will also enjoy a variety of other historic and contemporary aircraft demonstrations and displays as well.

In addition to the air show, children will enjoy Kids Fest. Let the kids sumo wrestle, play in bounce houses, climb the rock wall and more. Kids Fest is only $10 per child for the day and includes games, face painting, and most inflatables.

Event Details:
For both Saturday and Sunday, the flying will start at around 10:00 a.m. and the Blue Angels will perform at 3:00 p.m.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m.
