The 2026 BBB Economic Forum features an in-depth presentation that will focus on critical economic factors affecting the business community of Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina.

This insightful program will be steered by Robert McNab, ODU Professor of Economics and Director of the Dragas Center for Economic Analysis and Policy in the Strome College of Business, and Vinod Agarwal, Professor of Economics and Director of the ODU Economic Forecasting Project.

Topics of discussion will include an analysis of regional workforce levels, financial market implications, relevance of port operations, presence and importance of the military and defense spending, and housing market and commercial real estate trends.

As one of the regions premier resources and advocates for businesses, the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina aims to elevate the regional marketplace by way of events of this nature. The 2026 Economic Forum, in partnership with the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University, will allow the BBB to continue to effectively educate, empower and equip the businesses that it serves.
