Thursday, August 13th, at Rudee Inlet will start the much anticipated event for anglers here in Virginia Beach…the 4th Annual Sport Fishing Bluewater Classic running through the 16th.
Who could forget team Bada Bing with the largest Wahoo at 28 pounds 6 ounce caught by Mark Kaplan in 2006.What about Russell Gammons 48.75 pound Wahoo in 2007 or team Virginia Beach Contender in 2008 with a 36.5 pound Wahoo. With those amazing weights this years bar is set to only bring the best anglers, wheather they are tourists or locals.
By the way, the worlds record for the largest Wahoo was caught in Mexico at 158 pounds 8 ounces. The Bluewater Classic benefits The Billfish Foundation and the Chespeake Bay Foundation.
