This Fourth of July, plan to be at the Virginia Beach oceanfront where music, food, fun and fireworks will make the Boardwalk THE place to be this Saturday!
Make your way to one of three Boardwalk stages where you’ll have your choice of premium entertainment as Revolution – The Beatles Tribute, English Channel, and ZoSo – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience will take to the stage with free performances for the public.
For the ultimate beach music experience culminating in a spectacular fireworks display, be sure to get to the 20th Street oceanfront stage on the beach to see Symphonicity – Virginia Beach’s own symphony orchestra, the Virginia Beach Chorale, and American Idol performer Felicia Barton. There the entire family will be treated to a variety of compositions ranging from Broadway show tunes to American folk music and patriotic favorites worthy of a salute to the Stars and Stripes.

A word to the wise beach vacation guest and Virginia Beach resident alike: be aware that the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code, the Code of Virginia and the Code of Virginia Beach strictly prohibit the possession, transport or discharge of fireworks and pyrotechnics within the city limits of Virginia Beach unless properly permitted.
Finally, have a blast and be safe during this 2009 July 4th Celebration on the Boardwalk as we pay homage to the sacrifices of the brave men and women of our military forces – past and present – that afford us the privilege of freedom here in the grand ‘ol USA.
