Join us at Virginia MOCA for the premiere of The Lifeguard Legacy, a documentary that honors the evolution of ocean rescue in Virginia Beach. Produced in partnership with the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum and supported by the Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Department, the film blends archival footage, personal interviews, and cinematic storytelling to showcase the bravery of lifeguards past and present.

Through vivid stories and powerful imagery, The Lifeguard Legacy connects the history of lifesaving to today’s ocean rescue community—celebrating the courage, service, and cultural impact that continue to define Virginia Beach.
