The Neptune Festival also features a wine festival featuring Virginian wines held at Neptune Park. Neptune Park is the home to a 34-foot, cast bronze statue which stands at the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean. Of course, this Virginia Beach festival is among one of the favorite things to do when in VB in the fall. People gather from all over the coast to participate in this wildly popular event. It’s almost impossible to think about Virginia Beach without thinking about the King Neptune Statue! And, that’s exactly where this festival takes place… Right in front of the mighty statue at the 31st Street Park, also known as Neptune Park. Charitable organizations also play a important role in the Neptune Festivals. With partnerships with both local corporations and organizations such as the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia Beach, the Virginia Beach Jaycees, and the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, the Festival gives over $100,000 back to the community. With events circled around the beach and the lifestyle of Virginia Beach, the Neptune Festival is one of the premier festivals on the East Coast.
