DESCRIPTION:For the first time ever, experience an immersive theatrical performance at the Military Aviation Museum.\n**UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN**\nNovember 7 , 8, 9, 14, 15, and 16 · 7:30 – 9pm EST\nEvent lasts 1 hour 30 minutes\nMilitary Aviation Museum | 1341 Princess Anne Road Virginia Beach, VA 23457 United States\nRefunds up to 7 days before event\n \nTaking place in two massive airplane hangars filled with period aircraft in working order, Rosie the Riveter: A Spectacular Experience is an action-packed, music-filled journey straight into the heart of WWII-era America. The audience will weave its way through the giant museum space as they follow Rosie and her fellow factory workers and witness their struggles, victories, and unyielding spirit.\nWritten by Trey Clarkson and produced by ROŪGE: Theater Reinvented, the show brings to life the powerful story of the women who stepped up to keep America moving during WWII through a dynamic fictionalized retelling. Based on in-depth research into Rosie’s story, including archival work at the Library of Congress, the play celebrates Rosie and her crew as they tackle tough jobs and forge unbreakable bonds on the factory floor—surrounded by the very planes they helped build.\nEncouraged to dress in 1940s-inspired attire to embrace the era, audiences will move from one scene to the next following the action and experiencing the sights, sounds and activities of a bustling WWII factory, complete with roaring engines, a live swing band, and hands-on riveting stations. The ground will shake as a WWII airplane prepares to taxi off, bringing history to life in the 360 degree space around the audience.\nThis production is funded in part by the citizens of Virginia Beach through a grant from the City of Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission as well as the City of Norfolk through a grant from Norfolk Arts.\nFind out more at www.rougeva.org\nOr on social at @wearerougeva and @militaryaviationmuseum\nTicket Information:\nBasic Ticket ($50): Entry to the Immersive Experience.\nShow starts at 7:30pm sharp.\nRosie’s Guest (VIP Ticket) ($75): Includes reserved table seating at the USO Dance, plus a drink from the canteen. (Arrive early and enjoy your drink before the show!)\nHome Front Hero (VIP Ticket + Donation) ($100): Includes reserved table seating, a drink, and the purchase of a War Bond! These donations are tax deductable, and much like the real war bonds issued during World War II, they are financing the construction of an aircraft!\nThe Museum’s SBD Dauntless is actively in restoration, with money raised from the production going to the purchase of rivets, aluminum and other materials for the aircraft.\n \n \n
