DESCRIPTION:Saturday, May 3, 2025 | 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM\nMt. Trashmore | 310 Edwin Dr Virginia Beach, VA 23462\nWe learned that most people know at least one person with asthma. However, many people don’t know someone who passed from asthma or even knew someone could die from asthma. Our goal is to raise asthma awareness and educate the community on asthma triggers in an effort to reduce deaths by asthma complications.\nEach year we encounter more and more stories of those losing loved ones due to asthma complications.\nMay is Asthma Awareness month and we host this 5K to raise awareness for asthma and promote health and wellness for youth and adults though movement and exercise.\nThis event allows us to support those suffering with asthma and organizations that treat asthma patients in addition to providing health screenings to the community and donating funds to local orgs.\nThis year we will be turning our one day 5K event into a weekend of activities with the introduction of our JAM Foundation Sports Day Weekend. We will host a Charity Pickleball Challenge, Charity Tennis Challenge, and a Charity Cornhole Challenge.\nThis 5K includes a timed 5K and a Kids Fun Run with finisher medals, race t-shirts, children’s activities, food, drinks, music, and festivities.\nVisit www.jam5k.org for more details\n
