Specifically, FCCLA prepares students for the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader. The annual state conference provides student members with opportunities for leadership development, and to showcase their career-readiness skills through competitive events related to Family and Consumer Sciences education.  Members will compete in over 80 categories of skill events such as Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Fashion Design, Interion Design, Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, and Entrepreneurship.
