Back in the early 80s, Mike Obal, Ross King, and Trip Darden were tearing up the punk and new wave scene in VB. Fast forward, powerhouse vocalist Gina Swoope joins the mix, and the band hit their mark! Fans of Squeeze, Joe Jackson, Blondie, The Pretenders, Split Enz, and Missing Persons will feel right at home. Ready Steady Go doesn’t play often, but when they do, it’s a full-blown party. Catch a show and experience the magic!\nAbout Ynot Wednesdays\nYnot Italian’s Ynot Wednesdays, sponsored by Southern Auto Group, return for the sixteenth season! This outdoor summer concert series takes place on the Sandler Center Outdoor Plaza every Wednesday from 5pm – 9pm.\nOver twelve weeks, visitors will enjoy a musical panorama of live, local bands showcasing a diversity of genres from pop, country, big brass, Motown, rock, jazz, and more. Alongside free music, guests can purchase food, water, and soft drinks from title sponsor Ynot Italian, who will be serving up delicious pizza, sandwiches, and gelato all season long. Beer, wine, and craft cocktails will also be available to purchase.\nGuests will have the opportunity to interact with our many sponsors and vendors, including Sinclair Communications, Southern Auto Group, APEX, and more!\nFeeling the summer heat? Visitors may venture inside the Sandler Center to cool off, visit the restrooms and bars, or take a gallery stroll through the public art displayed on the second and third-floor lobbies. The Kids Craft Corner in the Miller Studio will also be open for families to enjoy make-and-take art projects and activities*.\nThe Ynot Wednesday concert series has been a long-standing summer favorite of Hampton Roads residents and visitors.
